kununu annually issues the kununu Top Company award. This time, winners were selected in a joint effort with the ZEIT publishing group. The award is given to companies that have been highlighted by their employees on the rating portal as having a high level of employee satisfaction.
Based on independent ratings for the working environment that employees can give their company on the kununu platform, a maximum of five percent of all participating companies in Germany receive this award each year. Empalis is among them again in 2024.
kununu itself clearly states the objective of the award: "Employers who receive the award are not only characterized by recognition and appreciation, but also send a strong signal to talented people who are looking for the right company," says kununu CEO Nina Zimmermann to the Top Company Award recipients this year.
Empalis has met the Top Company criteria since the Top Company award was launched in 2022. Empalis is a listed employer on kununu since 2011 and has received a number of kununu seals since 2019. The ratings of our employees and applicants make our employer standards visible - and measurable.
The selection criteria for kununu Top Company are as follows
- At least seven reviews from employees since the profile was created. Reviews from applicants are not counted.
- A score of at least 3.8 stars (out of a maximum of 5 possible), both overall and for employee reviews.
- In the past twelve months, the employee rating score must be at least 3.8 stars.
- At least two new ratings in the last twelve months. An updated rating also counts as a new rating.
The significance of the kununu Top Company Seal
The Top Company seal is intended to provide applicants with guidance in their job search.
In a study conducted in September 2022, the market research company YouGov found that the Top Company seal is considered relevant or very relevant for 45 percent of job applicants when it comes to applying for their next job. The highest fit possible and the employer's sense of commitment are the decisive factors for applicants. kununu is currently the most well-known seal holder in the DACH region (according to a survey of 3073 applicants by the recruiting platform Softgarden and Personalmagazin with 71% brand awareness, source: kununu)
A kununu survey of the Top Company companies that have been awarded the seal to date also found that the number of incoming reviews increases by an average of around 19 percent when the seal is used in corporate communications. Transparency in the criteria for awarding the seal and the independence of the ratings are among the most important criteria for participating. (Source: kununu)
We say thank you!
We don't take it for granted, since what may look easy based on the criteria cannot simply be reproduced in the rating world on kununu. A closer view of employer profiles on kununu quickly demonstrates that it's not easy for companies to achieve this. All the more remarkable when employees are willing to leave positive reviews.
