Who is the course for
You want to know how IBM Spectrum Protect's internal database works and how to use this knowledge to troubleshoot at the DB2 level. You have completed the advanced courses in the IBM Spectrum Protect environment (TS619, TS629) and now want to go deeper.
The IBM Spectrum Protect and DB2 Workshop is designed for experienced administrators who want to learn the mechanics between IBM Spectrum Protect and its database.
What you will learn in this course
In this 3-day workshop you will learn about the internal structures of an IBM Spectrum Protect instance, which can be found completely in the DB2 database. Together we will look at the current performance or running processes on the database level.
In practical exercises on Windows or Linux systems you can test the various query options and study the behavior of the database in interaction with IBM Spectrum Protect.
