Risk management and cyber security are boosted by cyber resilience
Mentioning risk management and cyber security in the same breath demonstrates the relevance of the topic of data security from the perspective of the NIS2 regulation that has come into force and the guidelines for critical infrastructures (KRITIS). As hacker strategies continue to develop, the need for security is increasingly focussing on the back-end areas that were previously considered less relevant to security in many places: According to the NIST framework, it is not sufficient anymore to allocate budget for cyber security to the Identify, Protect, Detect area preventively.
Proactive measures, which Empalis is targeting, focus on Respond & Recover, where cyber resilient approaches protect business continuity from the ground up by storing data in the most protected backup, from where it should be recoverable as quickly as possible (e.g. post-attack risk assessment or mitigation after an attack). This is exactly where Rubrik and Empalis strategically work together.
