Cleanroom

Cleanroom

The term ‘cleanroom’ originally comes from the pharmaceutical and electrical industries and describes an environment in which there is minimal to no occurrence of foreign particles. In IT, this refers to an environment that is separate from production.

In the case of our cleanroom solution, snapshots of existing VMs are mounted in an isolated VM-Ware environment and then scanned offline. The anomaly detection solution is able to identify conspicuous patterns, isolate or remove malware, and apply this knowledge to the rest of the environment. This also allows cross-machine attack patterns to be detected and cleaned up.
