Artificial intelligence is a branch of computer science that has seen major advances in machine learning in recent years. The principle behind it is similar to human cognitive ability: -> The computer learns independently through trial and error to recognize and correctly assign data structures.

One advantage in a business environment is the support it provides in processing large amounts of data, e.g. in ERP systems or for industrial robotics (independent learning).
