A ransomware attack renders all systems unusable
Far beyond technical disruptions and high ransom demands, affected organizations must contend with reputational damage, regulatory consequences, and far-reaching strategic and operational paralysis. And they must also face the subsequent costs of getting their business back on track.
Some organizations only invest in cloud resilience as a business-critical priority after an incident, and then under maximum pressure. Meanwhile, cloud attacks are becoming increasingly frequent and directly impact the operational capability of companies.
Native cloud security is not equal to cloud resilience
In Rubrik's simulated "Zero Hour" scenario, you'll experience firsthand how seemingly minor decisions can turn into existential questions for a fictional company. All assumptions are tested. Which solution proves resilient?
The lessons learned presented in the subsequent solution presentation also contain important messages: How can risks be systematically minimized? Why is native cloud security typically insufficient for auditable, testable, and immutable recovery scenarios? And other questions.
This webinar addresses the decision-making dimension—for companies with business-critical cloud workloads, this is not a technical discussion, but a strategic management task.
Part 1: "Zero Hour" - the concept
RUBRIK "Zero Hour" Live Cloud Cyber Recovery Tabletop Workshop guides participants through five scenarios in approximately 1.5–2 hours. Each participant is assigned a role and, based on a script, acts out the situation.
Designed to be vendor-neutral, the workshop aims to stimulate learning: After each scenario, the challenges, risks, recommendations for action, and critical analysis are discussed in a joint recap and summarized in key insights.
Rubrik offers a glimpse into the format on the Vimeo platform:

Part 2: Solution Presentation “Security Cloud”
In the solution presentation for the Security Cloud section, Empalis demonstrates in a practical way how Zero Trust by Design, Data Protection, Data Threat Analytics, and Cyber Recovery work together to holistically protect data—whether on-premises, in the cloud, or in SaaS applications. This significantly reduces recovery times in the event of a crisis and ensures a high level of business continuity.
