Identity and Access Management (IAM) data in Microsoft 365 environments is increasingly becoming a primary target for cyberattacks: Compromised global admin accounts, manipulated roles, deleted or altered Entra ID objects, and deliberately sabotaged security policies are now typical patterns of professional attacks.
Anyone who gains access to IAM data, or who succeeds in compromising it, effectively gains control of the respective cloud environment. Even if the data is still available, access is no longer trustworthy.
