The presentation introduces the topic of KRITIS and cyber resilience, and explains why critical infrastructures are particularly worthy of protection today.
Cyber Resilience as a Team Sport
In the main section, the presenter first addresses standards such as NIST and legal requirements such as DORA and NIS2. IT is understood here as a team sport: Cyber resilience can only be achieved across departments and is therefore not a purely IT project. Only the respective department can assess the actual risk through a business impact analysis, determining which processes and data are most critical in the event of a cyber incident – or other scenarios that threaten data security.
Why a Cyber Resilience Assessment?
The following section presents Empalis's solution for a cyber resilience assessment in a practical way, including (organizational) measures, risk management, documentation, backup, technological options for strengthening defenses, etc. – in other words, developing an action plan to strengthen resilience and developing the resulting benefits for the customer.
Agenda
- Classification of Cyber Resilience in the Context of Critical Infrastructure (KRITIS)
- Why a Cyber Resilience Assessment?
- Key Components for Implementing Cyber Resilience
- Presentation of the solution, which shows what a cyber resilience maturity analysis looks like based on a defined assessment
- Next Steps

What is the IT Security Web Conference?
IT-Sicherheit Online has been a long-standing partner of Empalis Consulting in the field of cybersecurity and cyber resilience. We regularly publish technical articles on core topics of interest to IT decision-makers as authors and speakers in the magazines and web conferences of kes and IT-Sicherheit.
At the KRITIS web conference hosted by the two magazines IT-SICHERHEIT and kes, participants will learn about up to seven software solutions/services related to KRITIS in one morning.
The morning will begin with an expert keynote address that will provide a general overview of the topic and offer important guidance for selecting a solution.
Participation is free with registration. The Event will be held in German.
We look forward to seeing you at 10:00 a.m.!
