Rubrik and Empalis: a good match for IT teams
Rubrik is not only among the top five solutions in the Gartner Leader Quadrant. In fact, a trend that has been evident on the market for several years now has brought Rubrik Security Cloud (its GUI) almost to perfection:
The Security Cloud is cyber recovery as a mass restore, automated within a platform, bringing together
- Data security situation,
- data threat analyses,
- data protection and
- cyber recovery
in a hyper-converged infrastructure with a high degree of simplicity that can be implemented in a short time.
The solution is particularly advanced when it comes to indexing metadata, e.g. for M365 or NAS backup. Daily events can be analysed and scanned using anomaly detection. A virus scanner completes the solution so that the inventory in the backup can be analysed preventively to see if there are any signs of an attack.
Rubrik sets a high standard for security in its appliances, in terms of ‘ assuring’ the data that it will survive any attack. For this reason, Rubrik develops all components itself, including implementation and evaluation, so that vulnerabilities from outside have no chance in the Rubrik architecture. Rubrik also supplies IoCs (Indicators of Compromise) as a cyber security approach using its own algorithms.
This way, Rubrik retains ‘control over the code’, which increases security. Empalis enhances the solution with Backup as a Service offerings or secure cloud copies in the Rubrik Security Cloud or via Wasabi.
