Predatar differs from other cleanroom technologies that entered the market after Predatar: a proactive, AI-supported platform for a complete cyber resilience solution.
In other words, Predatar does not set up a cleanroom once an attack has occurred (reactive approach), but instead continuously scans and recognises any threat situation (proactive approach).
As a result, companies are far less dependent on the question of whether the backup is ‘clean’ and whether it can be restored as completely and quickly as possible - i.e. whether restore tests are successful, as these are continuously automated with Predatar.
R17 ‘Viper’ - now even easier to implement and even more cost-efficient
The new setup wizard in R17 Viper enables quick and simplified installation within a few hours - fully automated.
THE major improvement: in version 3.0, the CleanRoom can be operated as a VM, as an isolated physical server or by reusing the existing infrastructure.
This means that third-party software licences are no longer required, making the solution more cost-effective, easier to acquire and - again - simpler to implement.
Cleanroom 3.0 is here: Based on VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix AHV, Windows Linux and AIX
While the previous Cleanroom always ran on VMware, the new Cleanroom 3.0 is based entirely on open source technologies. The great uncertainty in costs and transparency at VMware after the takeover by Broadcom was one of the drivers for this development in the direction of HyperVs.
Updates, patches and functional enhancements synchronised automatically
The new Cleanroom is not only easier to put into operation - it is also easier to manage. Predatar updates, feature enhancements and patches are automatically synchronised with the CleanRoom. There is no need for manual intervention, as the latest and therefore most secure version of Predatar runs automatically.
CleanRoom 3.0 also includes Aurora AI
The Aurora AI from Predatar introduced in R16 is also integrated in CleanRoom 3.0 and improves recovery orchestration here too. Its power lies in reporting, where Aurora continuously bundles comprehensive information in real time. If you select a client, Aurora also writes a report on this. Cleanroom 3.0 also has a chatbot that has already been trained for implementation and is available to answer questions.
Conclusion
With support for all major hypervisors, Predatar is one of the most flexible and future-proof solutions on the market. The upheaval in the hypervisor market, with VMware in particular, has caused uncertainty for many companies, especially with regard to costs. VMware / Broadcom reacted hesitantly. In the meantime, Predatar has addressed customers' questions and introduced support for all major hypervisors. This also makes it easier to migrate to another manufacturer.
Predatar has thus built up a high degree of flexibility as an ‘all-in-one’ package based on KVM, eliminating the need for many additional licences that were previously required to install Predatar. This can result in savings of up to 25 per cent. These aspects make it easier for us to provide vendor-independent consulting to customers who are concerned about VMs.
