R16 Orca - Optimised RAS thanks to the ‘Aurora AI’ AI tool
The new release R16 Orca is available, featuring improved features, especially using AI.
Since 2022, Predatar has been offering quarterly releases to support users of the tool with innovative and functional improvements in even less time.
Over the last few months, R15 has not only further refined anomaly detection, but also expanded compatibility: Predatar is now also supported by Rubrik and Pure Storage, in addition to the backup solutions from IBM, VEEAM and Cohesity.
Since the previous R15 Honey Badger release, it is possible to control any combination of the above-mentioned products via a single level.
Bringing together all metadata and alerts from different platforms in one place also makes it possible to visualise the overwhelming flood of information generated by the tool.
Future-proof and enduring: an investment that adapts dynamically
Predatar's flexibility is evidence of its future-proof design. The developer is aware that companies evolve and technological requirements change. Regular releases allow it to move seamlessly as customers switch between data protection platforms.
This agility makes customers' investment in Predatar secure in the long term - as the tool adapts to the changing needs of the organisation.
Aurora AI - Improved threat detection and response
Aurora includes new machine learning models: The speed and accuracy of Predatar's threat detection and response capabilities are significantly improved by Aurora. This results in
- Reduced misalert distractions for diligent IT and security teams
- Considerably improved, automatised recovery tests and malware scans.
- Improved risk analysis associated with each potential threat also allows Predatar to prioritise systems for testing and quickly remediate recovery risks.
Smarter reporting and intelligent insights
Thanks to Aurora, IT and security teams get the information they need in real time - including unique insights into recovery reliability.
In addition, Aurora provides users with practical, operational advice to help them become and remain resilient.
As well as being well trained in Predatar metadata, documentation and best practice industry analysis, Aurora is also equipped with Natural Language Processing (NLP). This means that Predatar users can receive tips and advice on how to increase their resilience in simple language.
The Aurora Chat feature will also be released later this summer, allowing users to ask questions about their recovery status, troubleshooting or best practices - and get answers instantly.
